Hey!!! Nice kit!! Yeah, our setups have almost the same finish! I'm really a fan of those type of finishes. It's really cool how awesome your white snare drum looks with your kit!!! And I'm really digging the cymbal setup on the last pictures :) specially the small china at the left of your hi hats. Can you tell what sizes and model are your Sonor drums?? Also your cymblas... please. Thx!

DogBreath-with the space - yeah, that's right it was CRUEL - but I bought these drums in november, after that we builded a new church, where I have as much space for practicing as I have never dreamed of :)))) os now it's better

chino-Ocio - it's not a big deal, I'm from europue, where prices of good drums and cymbals are much more higher than in usa...I know it - I alomst died when I was in the guitar center and I saw the prices of my favorite A-customs :'( they are more than 2 times so expensive here than in USA... SO the drums - sonor 2003 - it's a fusion set-up 10 12 toms, 14 floor tom and 20x18 bass drum. than I have the 5x14 sonor snare, and from my kit I had before ( it was amati - a czechoslovak brand, amatuer brand...) I have the 14x6 snare with dry evans drumhead - it has veeeery goood sound...(soon I will give also some recordings to this site... - I would like you to do the same ;) ) and I tuned up the snare, I bought new drumheads, almost everything, except the shell - and this sommer, I will paint the rims to black - so it will look like gretscj snare from colaiuta :)
the cymbals are mostly meinl, so let's go from left
-16 meinl classic china, 13 meinl classic hi-hat, 10 meinl raker splash, 15 meinl lightning medium crash, 12 stagg sh regular finish splash, I hae two types of ride - the 20 zildjian amir, and 20 amati dry ride ( I called it dry ride, because it has dry sound..amati cymbals where mostly crap, but this one was a good piece ) than I have 18 meinl classic thin crash, 10 meinl classic china splash, and the other hi-hat was borowed, I'm still looking for a new one :) but in november I will come to play with my band to minnesotta , texas and other states between minnesotta and texas...so If someone want's to see a european band playing jazz :) come write me:) I'll give further info...

the drum heads - I use mostly coated ambassadors, but when ther is some festival, where more players are using my drums, I use rather the clear emperor... ;)

and the sticks - these have less weight than the first - I didn't like the first either, but these are cool :) I love them, but maybe when you had grip problems with the first ones, probably you wil have also with these, 'cause they have the same surface...

how are meinl's cymbals??
i used a friend's meinl cowbell once and it was outstanding!
i'm buying new cymbals soon when i move to boston and was wondering whether meinl is a brand worth checking out... i know lots of great people play/have played them in the past, so i was just wondering....

I have now more space for practice, enough for my elbows and whole set up :) about the meinl cymbals - I like them, but I think zildjian is zildjian... :) but the byzance series are worth to look for, and the rakes ( or someone calls them raker ) have good splashes and crashes, the lighting have also good crashes..but all cymbals have diferent sound..I guess you know, try them, in the store...maybe you'll like them :)

great kit. i like the way your cymbals are arranged. out door gigs can be a pain without good fold back though it looks like you were well miced uo. i use the same overhead mics on my kit (AKG c1000s).

One thing Radeq. I am jealous. I envy you. My set is a crappy Millenium one. I wish I has as much money as I needed to get a now set. I'd get one set that's as close as it can get to Mike Portnoy's 1997-2000 drumset: The Purple(Green and Red depending where DT was touring) Monster.

Hey guys thangz fot da comments :) soon my snare drum will be sold, and chagned for the brozne shell of mapex black penther the classic size 5,5 x 14 , btw, does anyone has ani experience with the snare drum? and Yeah, it's the stagg sh series, it is cheap and sounds reaallly good - it's like mix of splach and little bit from china sound..veryyy nice :)

Nice kit man, you really cannot beat Stagg for effects cymbals eh? I went looking for a Zildjian or Sabian Splash and I left with Stagg, same with Chinas. They're cheap and sound sooo good. Love them.

yeah, stagg splahes are very good :) im now buying a wuhan china, im wondering how it will sound...

the stack - it was an 18 crash and a 16 china on the top of it....very good sound :) but I needed money, so I sold it
