Axis Longboards

Has anyone ever owned or played axis longboards? I heard that they don't feel like a bass pedal. As if they weren't as good as people say they are. The longer boards are nice, seeing the fact that most peoples sweet spot is farther back on the board than at the top of the board. Do you think they are worth the $800.00 plus for a advanced bass pedal or no.

Where are you getting $800? They are $525 for a double pedal.

Yes, they are worth it. The feel is different from other pedals. But they are incredibly well made, quiet, fast and have no lash. There is little fatigue and heel-toe is very easy. The sonic hammer beaters really put the power on the drum. If I didn't own trick pedals (those are $699 for the double pedal BTW) I'd own axis a longboards.

I was searching online for axis long boards. I found them on amazon for 418.00 then it said price 812.00 something.

ive heard great things about axis longboards but where ever in canada i look its always 899 or around that price

in reference to my original question, i have done my research and seen on the axis site that the difference is A has "variable drive adjustment" and the X has a "fixed point strap," but what does that mean?

The A's let you adjust where the direct drive lever sits in relation to the beater, giving it a different feel. I've got a pair of the longboards with e-kits on them, even though I don't ever use the damn triggers anymore. You can see them in my sig.

okay, thanks. so if i end up shelling out for a longboard i'll probably want to go with the A's, i suppose
