Has anyone ever owned or played axis longboards? I heard that they don't feel like a bass pedal. As if they weren't as good as people say they are. The longer boards are nice, seeing the fact that most peoples sweet spot is farther back on the board than at the top of the board. Do you think they are worth the $800.00 plus for a advanced bass pedal or no.

Discuss :)

Where are you getting $800? They are $525 for a double pedal.

Yes, they are worth it. The feel is different from other pedals. But they are incredibly well made, quiet, fast and have no lash. There is little fatigue and heel-toe is very easy. The sonic hammer beaters really put the power on the drum. If I didn't own trick pedals (those are $699 for the double pedal BTW) I'd own axis a longboards.

Check indoor storm, musicians friend, sam ash, or the axis site for a dealer.

Not meaning to be rude, and I see your post count is pretty low so it's understandable as you're clearly new, there are dozens of threads on these pedals, do a search, you will find all the info you want and then some.

Cheers

speaking of longboards, what's the difference between the As and the Xs?

appreciate the help, but unfortunately that link doesnt work

*edit*
in reference to my original question, i have done my research and seen on the axis site that the difference is A has "variable drive adjustment" and the X has a "fixed point strap," but what does that mean?

The A's let you adjust where the direct drive lever sits in relation to the beater, giving it a different feel. I've got a pair of the longboards with e-kits on them, even though I don't ever use the damn triggers anymore. You can see them in my sig.
