Anybody know how they size sticks? For instance what does the "7" and the "A" stand for in 7A, or the "5" and the "B" in 5B sticks?

I dont think the letters stand for anything in particular, just the different model. And the number i think it the size. I think the A's are thinner than the B's. And i think the higher the number the smaller the stick.

Go to the vic firth site, check out some different sticks, read the description, and you might learn something.

So what's 747 all about then?

Oh and Class A, wrong way round fella, the higher the number the bigger the stick - 2B is bigger and heavier than 5B ; )
