I suggest the 18x16 if you want that Zeppelin sound because Bonham used one that size.

I have a 16x16 and an 18x16 combo. Go for it. Big drums go boom.

For the Zep sound definately go with a 16 X 18; a 14 X 14 would sound more like a rack tom (in the context of raw blues-rock,) than a floor tom, although in all other applications a 14-incher is perfectly fine.I've always used the double floor tom set-up and my old kit was comprised of the 16 X 16/ 16 X 18 pairing. I've scaled down my newer kit to a 16 X 16/ 14 X 14 combo because I no longer play the Black Sabbath/Deep Purple/Led Zep stuff that I used to;I'm into mellower things nowadays.People my age usually started out with a 14" floor tom as those (along with the 16's) were usually the only sizes that were available; a 16 X 18 would have been considered exotic...Yep,if you're gonna play Zep,think big....

While I agree with everyone here.......let me ask this:
What comprises the "rest" of your kit?

If you want even more boom, try an 18x20" floor tom which is pretty much a bass drum on floor tom legs.

Eh, get both so you can put the 16" & 18" together, then put the 14" on the
other side! :)
I have all 14" floor toms in my three kit setups but that's my preference. You
should definately go with the 18" if you're trying to achieve that "bonham" sound.
