Hey Tim, I posted a few comments on you playing with the Dark Horse Project. I like those. To sum it up, I said I like your China cause it sounds crappy, I think a sound like that is great. I also said that I like that style you play on those vids cause it shows you have control, and GREAT technique. I am not a death metal fan, it scares me but, for you the fact that your feet can play at a bazillion miles an hour, its cool. Keep up the good playing man.
Oh, I liked the vid about the finger tapping thing. That was cool. If only I had cordination now.

And by saying what I said about the china, is because some guy on youtube said it sounded like **** and I said I liked it. So thats that.

Tim, great playing in that genre...as always.
Isn't it so interesting that when Tim posts videos playing with bands, that suddenly the youtube viewers aren't so interested in watching or commenting on them. If this were one of his tech videos, he'd have five times the views by now, with more than half claiming that he doesn't actually play with bands. BTW, Does anybody remember if these same guys apologized when video evidence was provided that Tim was a regular band drummer?
Hmmmm...
Then there is this singular comment over at youtube, stating that Tim's playing doesn't inspire him, as if to imply there is this great body of work this guy has observed, when he has in reality most likely seen short clips of two videos...or...just this one.
I have come to the realization that most drum forum critics and youtube trolls either have political agendas, pent up frustrations, inferiority complexes, or are simply clueless, based on arrogant but limited understandings. What makes it really tough is that you cannot explain limited understandings to someone with limited understanding. This is why I have learned that subsequent comments attempting to explain or clarify are futile gestures.
The Internet is probably the last pure democracy on Earth. And unfortunately, because people are coming from so many different levels of understanding, that is not always a good thing.

Hey , that was neat stuff! I just wish the audio was a little better........
mattsmith I think you just have to let it go man(lol).I totaly agree with you on all counts, but I have noticed a common theme in three quarters of your posts..... your own pent up frustration conncerning the majority of lack wit idiots who just don't get it......I can understand this....You have worked your butt off to accomplish the things you have, only to see the Travis Barkers out there get the glory, and trying to defend your opinions against like minded people only adds to that frustration........here is a secret...They love nothing more than seeing a 4 or 5 paragraph reaction to one of their mindless 3 line posts....don't give it to them, in the end, does it really matter?Don't let it get to you....Here is another secret.....there will allways be those rubberheads that can't see the forest for the trees, your time should be spent doing what you do best, playing music, not staying up late cruizing the internet trying to reform these people, it's a no win battle.........just let it go...........

I would have to say that youtube is a cool place to share stuff with the world, but I hate the idiots there as well. I spend more time getting all mad at people who have so much to say about how much everyone else sucks, when what the person really wants to say is they really suck, and just can't come to terms with them selfs about it. Like some post that Tim had on there, someone said he has no feeling, and so he set a record and blah blah blah. These are the same people that post a video of them hitting there drunk buddies with trash cans, or get into a shopping cart at wal mart and run around the parking lot like retards. These are the people I charge, just like the rest of us out there, to do better than what they are trash talking.
Now, maybe I am wrong, but I would like to clear this up. I feel that I may have come off a little I don't know, like the people that I just ranted about, but I feel that maybe I upset matt. Matt sorry. I just don't like that kind of music, he did great, I can't do it. But when I watched the other video's I really liked the music, and what he was playing. Sorry if I came off as one of the youtube "trolls" I, like you am frustrated as well... Again, this kind of music, not my thing, I watched the vid because its Tim. I wanted to see his feet moving bagazillion miles an hour.
