What do you like most about drumming?
My favorite thing would probably be playing an awesome groove where I feel connected to my drums. Like not just sitting on a throne and beating the crap out of them.
Anyways, how about you?

The fact that you get:
Stress Relief
Artistic Satisfaction
A lifelong interest
A nice big drum kit
Lots of shiny cymbals
and most importantly IMO its the most fun instrument that anyone could ever play!!

Playing music. I love it, it makes me feel special and I lose myself in it. Music is the best thing ever. Nothing beats being in the moment during a beautiful musical piece/passage/phrase.

Theres a great quote by someone about something musical and it's beauty, but I don't have the patience to articulate my thoughts when playing on computer.

Playing to guitar-pro backing tracks of my band's music and having a Perfect timing really satisfies my. It drains al the stress in me. Therefore i start warming up with playing to one of our songs.

I never really tried putting it into words before. The exhillaration of a solo, the sexyness of laying down a cool groove and the feeling I get when playing.

I love drums. I love to play drums and listen to drums. I guess what I like most is how they are always the best thing in the song.....if the drumming has a nice, fat groove.

I just love listening to them, it's the thing I almost always look for in a song unless the song has a particularly amazing guitar or singer. Bands such as taproot for example, while I still pay attention to the drums, the guys voice is just so good I tend to listen to that. Vice versa, Atomships drumming is just so amazing that it's almost the only thing I listen to...ALMOST.

as said many a time before, it has to be for me ... laying done a FAT FUNKY GROOVE!!!! and really getting into the feel of it, i'm almost dancing on my throne when i get into a really funky groove, shoulders flying everywhere haha!!

but also playing and making really good music with a group of musicians, whether in a band situation or whatever. it happened to me today when my band and i polished off our first song together, really got it laid down, all playing superbly, can't beat it!!

love it!

my favorite thing about playing drums is playing gigs. I Love playing live music for a crowd (sometimes not much of a crowd here in Oklahoma). That is probably my favorite thing about playing drums. I find joy in pleasing others. And it always feels great when people approach you after a show and give you compliments.

here are a few........: “Mankind is notoriously too dense to read the signs that God sends from time to time. We require drums to be beaten into our ears, before we should wake from our trance and hear the warning and see that to lose oneself in all, is the only way to find oneself.”
