Can anyone suggest a decent priced Ride and China? Any brand will do because my Ride is a bit low and I have an extra stand so I'm looking for a China.

wuhan. you could buy five for the price of one from the big 3. and some prefer them to the big 3 too.

wuhan makes some really good chinas

saluda can get you exactly what you want for a really low price

and if you can find anywhere that sells dream cymbals there are suppost to be really good. im probably getting a 22''bliss ride from them in the near future.

anything in the upper range of the big 3 is great.

if you could tell us what kind of music you play, what sound are you looking for in a ride then we could help you out a bit more.

As said before, wuhan. Not to sure about rides. But, i truly consider my wuhan china to be the nicest and most perfect china sound i could ever ask for.

For the China: WUHAN. <--- thin, short sustain, trashy, loud. If you wanna have a nice china for calmer styles or for Jazz...look out for some of those sizzle chinas, delicious!
For the ride I`d suggest the Zildjian Sweet Ride or so, versatile and this classical A sound.

EDIT: Last time I heard much about a brand called "Saluda". Ask FranklinJ here, he owns some Saludas...

just my suggestion...

I hate my wuhan china, I have a 12" and it really sounds like crap.. I am kinda new so maybe I just can't appreciate it yet but I have hit other china's and they all sound much better than my wuhan... it's to the point I don't even hit it anymore and getting ready to take it down and sell it on E-bay...

a few things for this. you probly dont liek the sound becuase its a 12 incher. i dont really like the sound of the 12 inch either. try bigger one. i havea 16 and love it. also i doubt you can sell it on ebay. people can just go to the store to buy it for $15 brand new. i dunno just my thoughts.

I have had my 16" Wuhan China for over 3 years..It is the one cymbal I will never contemplate replacing, unless I break it. It is the epitome of what a china should sound like: trashy, with quick decay, and very reasonably priced too! (cost me $40 CAD)

At a local music shop I'm picking up a 20" (or a 22" if they get it in) Dream ride. Beautiful cymbal. Only costing about $150 USD. Check 'em out man!

As for chinas, I have the 12 inch wuhan china... if you want something INCREDIBLY trashy, try one of those out.

I really like my Paiste 20" signature thin china. It sounds incredible. Zildjian K chinas are very nice, too.
I would stay away from Wuhan, personally. I have broken 2 of them, and I don't really hit them all that hard. They have some nasty ringing overtones as well.
I am a big fan of the Paiste Signature Full ride, as well as the K custom rides...you can listen to them on their respective websites.
