Has anyone tried this model?I purchased them a few days ago and they seem a little tricky in my hands. And they are quite small in length!Which music style is better fitted in those sticks? thanks

I`m curious how they feel...will try them next weekend I think.
From what I`ve seen they are a bit too thick for me...but the rest is cool!

I've been trying them for 3 weeks now and I can't get used to it. Too heavy and small for me. They seem pretty strong tough.
I'll rather recommend the Jack Dejohnette Vic Firth signature sticks, kinda same look, but lighter and longer. I've been playing with this same model for 6 years and these are perfect for me.

Yes, definitly cool stick! Jack`s sig. sticks are very light when I tried it...is it maple??
overall just light, long, and good definition on the ride cymbal...a bit too thick for me though...

mayer's sticks are really short and thick, so i think the idea is to get more power on a shorter throw, like for the really fast drum n bass he does. it might work well for real speed metal too.

i really liked the dejohnette's feel, too, but the cymbal sound disappointed me. best cymbal sound ever = joe morello pro mark sigs. just beautiful

anyway i switched back to jack de johnnette sticks which i had been using for several months! I tried to give some time in practicing rudiments and playing on the set with the jojo sticks but they felt to my hands a little tricky. For example i had problmems in doubles and not only...i was a little dissapointed...Maybe i;ll try them again in the future but i still think :de Johnnette model > Jojo model :)

JoJo was going for a 5B feel in a 5A weighted stick....i think its a bit odd...

but i would like to try a pair....maybe because i love what JoJo does...

ok i bring the thread to the forefront again so that more people express their experience in these sticks. What is the purpose of shorter sticks?Faster rebound?I tried them again yesterday and i think i had a very good rebound on the ghost notes.Shorter sticks do have a better rebound than the longer ones right?
what do you think?
