Hi All,

This is me (Mike Vondran) playing drums in the house of band of a San Francisco Bay Area Comedy T.V. show 2002-2003. The show was call Stand up, it’s Thursday Night and was kind of a SNL type show. Below are some you-tube links of a couple of performances.
Our version of “I Wish” was at a faster tempo than I like but that was the tempo the band agreed upon and I had a 1/5 say in the matter.

Your feedback on anything about the performances would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Great playing man!

Really liked the cover of "I wish". I think it works at that tempo. Nice groove you got going on there!

Hey , good stuff, the band sounds great! I think the No Doubt track is a better fit for your singer, but both tracks sound tight! Any other stuff you can post?

Yea, the No Doubt tune suits your (hot) singer well. Good opening shot of you as well.

Hi All,

Here is another video of our performance from the SUTN 2002/2003 season that was uploaded to YouTube recently.

I picked this song for the band to play because I liked the groove and I thought we could “funk it up” some more with our instrumentation.

I don’t like the drum sound quality from the mix from TV but it works.

Your feedback on anything about the performance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I would have to agree with most of the YouTube comments. Your band is good. And there is nothing better than a rhythm guitar player who can play a sax, or vice versa. Good job.
