When i saw Jason's report from 'drummerlive' i thought that i should have some pics on the wall that are drum/music-related. So i looked and i looked but all the pics i find are to small so you can see the pixels if you enlarge them. The guy from the photoshop said that they should be about 2mb if in jpeg format.
I like the pics from the "best looking kit thread" and also the ones from http://www.drummerworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19178 are pretty cool.
So do you have any nice pics?

Buy a couple of drum magazines like Modern Drummer or DRUM! There's loads of pictures and advertisements in there to cover your walls!

Maybe ring some drum stores or drum companies, they might have some promotional posters you can have or buy for a small price. My drum teacher got a cool poster of Virgil Donati from somewhere - can't remember where he said he got it, but he got it framed and it looks awesome. Didn't cost him very much.

I'll email you my 7 megapixel pictures that can easily go to 20 x 30 inches if you dont mind putting pictures of Blue Sparkle Taye drums on your wall. lol

damn, I love that second pic Karl, that little piece of snare there is really cool. You got some future in photography if you should ever like...lose your arms in a freak gasoline fight accident. ..no wait.....nevermind.
As for pictures, I've always loved that pic of Mike Portnoy, the one where he is in the purple suit or something haha. You cant really blow it up to decent proportions though :-/

Hey everybody - so many good comment!! :)
@Drum monkey
The idea to buy a magazine, it can only be in a small size right? If it's poster size then it would have to be folded, and that's not good...
@Stormi
Good idea - i'll try that as well:)
@GRUNTERSDAD
Can you post small samples of them here? So my inbox wont explode;)
@Photographer Karl
REALLY NICE PICS!!!!!! I like the idea with the K custom, but it looks like there a flash just below the K, and i dont think that looks so good. Maybe i could get you to experiment with some different lighting? Of the kit-pics i really like nr 2 and 3. What's that in the background of nr 3 - it looks like a brick wall on a slope?
Did you think about making the pics in "old jazz times";)
Are you going to take more pics?
And THX!! :)
@Quadruple Groove
LOL! It's a good thing that gasolin fighting is not an accident-prone sport!!!

I have two large Gretsch flags hanging around my house somewhere, oneis a huge canvas/vinyl one that fills a whole wall, the other is a smaller cloth version.

If you're looking for something bigger than a standard page you'll need to special print it or go buy posters...

@Karl
Great pics, as i said in your other thread... It looks like you have been using your new brushes!!
@B.
Great!!!!!
Some of them look very "casual" (is that the right word?), well, they're great:)
It's going to be hard to pick!!
@DM
Yes i'm looking to get something like A3 size. This is why i'm asking for big resolution pictures, because then i can take them to a local photoshop and they can print it on real photopaper so it looks like a photograph. Actually i have some old magazine somewhere, so i'll go have a look at them...

Just an off topic tip. If you turn your snare regularly then the coating wears off evenly so you can get full value of the head. instead of wearing it all the way through in one spot and then have to change heads.

Hello fellow-drummers! I'd really like some Buddy Rich posters for my living room. I've been surfing the internet like a madman, and just can't seem to find any. Any knowledge or suggestions out there? Thanks!

You might try thejazzstore.com. Also consider picking up some of the classic LP records and framing the sleeve. Mercy, Mercy,Mercy would look very groovy hanging on your wall. Nehru jacket, beads, psychedelic background. Austin Powers would dig it baby.

Thanks for the advice! I've just tried it, though. No luck unfortunately. Isn't it strange that no one have put any of all those great Buddy Rich pictures into posters?

I have a big black & white one that I got at a vintage drum show. It's an old photo that's been enlarged..not great quality but a classic shot. Try Rebeats website and Not So Modern Drummer website.

You might want to try contacting the new Buddy Rich Drum Company. I'm not certain if they have an official website yet, but you can reach them through MySpace:
http://www.myspace.com/buddyrichdrumcompany
Or you can email company president Bill Morgan at Buddyrich.cs@adelphia.net.
Good luck!

you could always try a poster shop. I went over to philly a few weeks ago to get some philly cheese steaks (im not even kidding, w/ extreme spontanaiety, me and my dad just drove 3 1/2 hrs to philly for a philly) and after we were done eating the greatest sandwhich i have ever eaten in my life, we went to a poster shop. I couldnt find any buddy rich posters (wasnt really lookin for em) but i did come across an awsome led zep. poster.
so try a poster shop. or there is always good 'ole ebay.
Edit- here is a pic of it... John Bonham and the gang are bein chill, and robert plant is doing that thing he does, not that its bad.

I just repainted my room and now I need some drum posters or some banners that I can put up on my wall. It doesn’t matter what size, but I seen some really huge banners that would be really cool to put on my wall. I’ve been looking for Tama banners, but I can't find anything. I just need something drum related, so that I can decorate my room. If anyone knows where I could buy them I would highly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Dan

Hey!
Maybe ask Tama for some big photos? Then you could print some big posters for your room.
If not, some time ago I just made some artworks of my Tama Superstar Custom...don`t know whether they are good but here are some, if you`re interessted I could send you the full sized per e-mail.

I used to cut cool adverts out of magazines and pin them up - maybe you could too?

Where would be a good place to get posters of a good pro drummer.
I have found one for Neil Peart so far on the sabian website but I can't find any other posters anywhere on the web for a good price.
I'm interested posters too, I want to get some jazz art to put up on my wall too.
