Hey guys, been working on a lot of stuff. Was working on using some of the other cymbals I have lying around, to create some rough, harsh industrial-ish grooves.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKqaXaDXwkU - here, but only in mono.

http://media.putfile.com/Industrial-Grooves---Lawrence-Dunn - also here, but in stereo, much better sound quality.

Turn it up and enjoy!

Man i love listening to your playing. That was really good. Out of your playing i enjoy this clip the most. How did you dampen the cymbals just tons of tape underneath or something else? Anyway i liked the sound of that crash you where using on your right had a really dirty sound but a quick decay. But obviously thats not the real decay. And i couldnt really see but it sounds like you have a splash sitting on the top head of your floor tom or is it something else...

Anyway great playing.

That was really good, I might even get to steal some of it!

Cheers people. The cymbal was dampened by placing an old hihat top with tape on it on the stand first, and then the ride over the top. That way you get an ultra dry, lead weight sound which is pretty cool. Latin Groover was right in thinking there was a splash on my floor tom. The crash is actually a 15" K custom fast crash stacked on a 16" K dark crash. There was also a hihat bottom taped to the bass drum.

Older musicians often ask me if the latest generation of drummers knows anything about musicality, having your own identity, and creativity.I will just forward this clip to them in the future.
Great job!

(Get some video help next time so we can see you play!)

You took some overused, hoaky rythyms and made them sound amazing and most importantly, clean. With that precision I could see you being a sought-after hip-hop drummer someday.

I am in admiration...
