Found this beauty waiting on my doorstept yesterday. It sounds awesome! I didn't really care for the other sizes based on the samples at paiste.com, but this 17" is a really great crash.

What is the sustain like on the cymbal? I love the look of the cymbal.

It has a pretty fast decay. Much faster then my classic 2002 crashes, but not quite as fast as my K Custom fast crash. This cymbal is a really good compromise for someone who plays classic rock as well as some heavier stuff. A very aggressive crash that retains that 2002 smoothness.

Can you time the decay of the cymbal?

Paiste cymbals are awesome. Im pissed because I bought tons of A's and A Customs lol.. But I got A 16" Signature Full crash and a 21" Signature Silver mellow ride and I love them
Enjoy it, Paiste rules

You are quite correct. I play Classic Rock (everything from King Crimson to the Allman Brothers with equal dashes of Pink Floyd and the Byrds,) and this cymbal works perfectly.Congradulations, you made a great choice...
