No, Sabian Pros were between B8Pro and AA quality. I have a Pro 18" china that I still use today. Decent intermediate cymbals.

I belive it goes
B8
B8 Pro
Pro
Vault
Paragon
AA
AAX
HH
HHX.
Im not sure about xs though. From Paragon up to hhx are all "pro line" cymbals (not sure if vault is considered) and the order really matters on which sound you like the most. I prefer AAX the most out of all of them (even though im a zidljian guy) but there are Several HHX's i like and HH. Dont really like AA's but i could live with em. The 3 i like the most would have to be the HHX evolution 16" crash, AAX 16" stage crash, and the 14" AAX studio.
Edit- plz correct me if i am wrong about order. And btw, the HHX and HH tend to be the most expensive for my experiance.

I had two Pro 18" crash cymbals and I loved them! They sounded very nice....sadly they are now demolished.

I love the Pro Studio Crash, which is (for some reason) very different than the Pro Crash. Those are my 'go to' crashes in the studio (and no, not because they happen to say 'studio' on them!)

Well i know a lot of people get upset if you do not buy TOP OF THE LINE GEAR !!!, But i have 14" Pro sonix hh's a 20" pro sonix ride, 16" pro Sonix crash and a recent purchase from a fellow DW member on a pro sonix splash which is due to hit my hands today....WOOHOO... Personally i really like them. They are bright and record perfectly, I find them to have a very wide range of use and they never were expensive. I guess as usual it comes down to "YOUR EARS " and what you like...Blindfold yourself and test different cymbals next time you go shopping..betcha you will be SUPRISED with your pick !!!!!!

Yes I know that but they aren't as high quality as the others, being sheet bronze.
XS20 are cast, not sheet (Edit: If that was the argument... They aren't as extensively worked on, so they are cheaper). I'm surprised about Vault's position among most of these lists, I thought they were the top line of Sabian...

Yup, XS20's are cast. I see a lot of people not thinking of them highly on here, and I know they aren't completely top of the line, but I think they sound pretty great. And I too am surprised about the Vaults. I assumed they were one of the best. Hmm.. By the way, how do you like that XS20 splash, anc510? I'm thinking about getting one.

Yeah thats what I was gonig for lol getting some honest opinions. About the Splash... I really like it... Its a 10 inch and it was like 50 bucks. I think its great for the money. And no they Pro Sonix are different, but they are part of the same series I guess.
And about my cymbals.. well I personally like them and think they sound really good, they are all just really thick and the crashes ring out for a really long time... I duct taped them a little on the bottom and that helped some.

ok, so i know what the ''pro'' line is. Last year, when i was looking at buying a new pair of hats. i went to my local music store. I saw these ''pro'' line x-celator hats (they are also made in a better quality for aax). when i saw the cymbals, and the price, i said to my self, ''this is a good deal, and its 10 less than the xs20 hats''. (im a drummer on a budget, but i lovvvvveeeeeee the xs20 line) I asked the drum tech at the shop, and he said the sabian ''pro'' line, are equivalint to the b8pro line. He said that they are an older version, and that sabian stop producing them. I also looked at musicians friend, and when i search ''sabian pro'', all that came up was b8pro stuff, but, i saw the x-celator hats, and the title above them said ''b8pro'', but the photo had ''pro''. I also looked in the sabian "catologue", and "news beat", and there was no sign of the "pro" line, and i checked the "b8pro" stuff, and found no "x-celator" hats. So i bielive they were just an older version of today's "b8pro".
I thought Karls order was correct, isnt the whole point in Vaults thats they are from the 'Sabian vault', as in, theyre the best cymbals they make?
I thought As and Hs were equivalent to As and Ks, hence the same level/matter of opinion?
Also, its pretty difficult to rank signatures seeing as theyre more specific cymbals to a puropse, more a matter of opinion?

I think the XS20's and the Pro/ProSonixs are on the same level, just the XS20's are B20 and the Pro/Pro Sonixs are B8 Bronze.
Sabian I remember used to actually list the Pro and Pro Sonix's under the XS20's. Possibly becuase B20 bronze is usually preferred over B8 bronze by most.
