Has anybody else experienced inconsitency in the search function? I just typed nate smith in and got only 3 threads at first, and posted accordingly. Then I go back and do another search and magically there are 15 some returns. Am I just retarted?
Edit: The spelling was the same both times as well

ive never had a problem like that, but somtimes i will do a search like "buddy rich", and i will get threads on John Bonham and Steve Vinnie Colaiuta or somthing like that, but no buddy rich. But another ill do the same search, and i will get the buddy thread.
Edit- just realized, i guess it kinda is the same problem.

i also find this. its a quirk of the program. try using the advanced search option and also rearranging the wordsor adding an extra word.

yeah, and when other people say 'use the search button' and i already have or go and do it, stuff totally unrelated comes up and i get the blame for not being able to find anything.

I have a slightly different problem. I wanted to print the charts in this thread:
http://www.drummerworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8120&highlight=crazy+army
but i dont have a printer. So i figured i'd do it at work, but when i searched for "crazy army" there i only got two threads (compared to about 20-30 at home). When i got home i found the thread again and wrote down the username "eav", but the next day at work i tried to "find all post by user" and "find all threads by user" and there was NONE!! It's kinda wierd because it also says that eav has 4 posts, so where are they?

Do not use it? Bad idea. As Jason said, use the advanced option. I use it all the time.

I have had problems with the search option similar to the ones other people have had, but it has never been a major issue.
However, recently (as in the last couple of months) i cannot use search at all! whenever i use the search, it just gives me the 'this page cannot be displayed' internet explorer message!
Is this a database fault or is it my computer?
