You mean Abbey Road?

Its pretty easy when you see it on paper. I may get around to notating it for you, but dont hold your breath. :)

No - I need no transcription.

I just didn't understand Supersteve, asking: Is Ringo ok with this???????

What I meant was Ringo wrote, thought up and recorded this drum solo,

Would he be happy that someone else is using what he created,

I dont know how that works can you just play a drum solo someone came up with as your own?

ah. thats what your thinking. no, chris bliss doesnt drum, he juggles to music. (think he calls it interpretive juggling).... he juggles along to the song. check out the video he posted, its pretty cool.

It was actually Paul McCartney who played the solo, Ringo wasnt in studio that day.

That is a huge bit a controversey right there, but I believe (as do most people I think) that Ringo recorded that solo.

I'm with J on this one, great juggling. I'm going to check out more on that guy... That's a great solo too. Fairly simple, as is the Ringo style, but great feeling.

...and everybody recognizes it, not just drummers. I've been itching for the right 8 measures to come along to plug it into.

This is a ZIP file with the pages of the score ripped straight from that MIDI file. As far as I can tell the transcription of the solo isn't perfect, but it's close enough to have fun with at least.

Have fun,
Andrew

The rumors that Ringo did not play on many of the Beatle songs because he was not good enough are also false. In fact, he played on every released Beatles recording (not including Anthology 1) that include drums except for the following: "Back In The USSR" and "Dear Prudence", on which Paul played drums due to Ringo temporarily quitting the band, "The Ballad of John and Yoko", again featuring Paul on drums because Ringo was off making a movie, and a 1962 release of "Love Me Do" featuring session drummer Andy White.

As previously posted by Nutha Jason.

Check out a Greg Bissonette clinic sometime. I never thought about Ringo much, but by the end of Greg's Ringo speal, I was convinced that Ringo is a significant and talented drummer.
