Thanks, i like my Cymbals, except for the planet Z (it sound like a metal can)... I wish to change my hihats too, but i haven't got money for it. I had to spare a lot of time to buy this kit, it was a lot of efford. cya

Hi - Welcome here, have fun and enjoy your stay !

Absolutely nice kit ! The cymbals aren't that bad although it's the first time I hear about edge splash and the planet Z should be replaced. The B8 hi-hat aren't that bad ( http://www.cymbalholic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10512 ) and you still can wait for upgrade like I just did (I found a nice pair of istanbul mehmet on ebay).

I like the black panther snare too !

Keep rollin' those sticks of your :-)

Welcome to a place we like to call Drummerworld. I have a question. Do you use those isolation headphones to play along with music and whats your technique in using them?

And actually ive only seen Edge Zildjian 1 other place and it was on my friends kit. When did they make them?

i use those headphones to play, whitout music along, just to take care of my ears... And in some way it helps to hear better the "sound" so i can test my sound playing the drums.
I not sure but i think that the Edge cymbal is old, maybe from the 80', but i really don't know.
*Sorry for my english, i don't speak (or write) it well.

Looks nice.

Glad to see another A Custom 14" Fast owner, as well as some Edges.

I have 3 Edge crashes, 2 18s and a 16". From what I know, they are the predecessors to today's ZBT/ZXT/ whatever entry level line. And in my opinion, they sound considerably better than todays lines, that is, the ZBTs, ZXTs etc.

Maybe they are similar to the ZHT... I'm not really sure.

Nice kit, nothing! I think that black finishes look very understated and classy in today's era of silly and gaudy-looking finishes. Welcome to the forum!

I have an 18" Edge Crash, it's a sheet cymbal and has been out for around 8 years!

They were out at the same time as ZBT plus but it was replaced by ZXT's

sweet kit! still can't figure why you bought all those new cymbals in stead of spending some money on new hats. I have the B8's too and they're really not doing it for me and they're the first thing I'm changing on my drums. anyway still my compliments on the snare ;)

Hi, I didn't buy all togheter. This isn't my first drumset and those cymbals aren't new, except the Z 14" Crash. I haven't got money now to buy some addons, but a will change some things when I got money to spend.

Hi
Nice kit and welcome to the forum

for all you people wondering about edge cymbals

Edge, Edge Plus (1990s) - Edge cymbals were higher end budget cymbals. They preceded the current day ZXT range.
