Has anyone here actually done it? I timed one once and it was literally ringing for almost 2 minutes and then I stopped it. haha.

I read somewhere that someone hit it, and 20 minutes later it was still vibrating. You could hear it if you put your ear up to it. That's really crazy! And that's why I'm NEVER getting a Zil-Bel. haha

They're awesome cymbals, I wouldn't trade mine for the world.

But no, I haven't timed mine. : )

I have both the 6" and 9.5" , and they do sustain a loooooonnnngggg time. Did you ever hit your crash, and time it's sustain ?

Yes i have. My Vault rings for like 15 seconds, and my other crash rings for like 12 maybe.

yeah..
i bought one today.
it sounds absolutley
amazing but i don't like the ringing.
it's not as bad as people in this thread make it sound..

yeah it might ring for 2 minutes but
even if your playing alone with no guitars, bass
or anything you can only actually hear for maybe 1 and a half seconds.

when your playing with guitars and everything you can't hear the sustane at all.

i suggest it to anyone that is even thinking about buying one.

I saw one of these in my local shop. I think I might just buy it, although I'll need another cymbal arm to mount it off of. Seems like a worthwhile accessory, and I could use a little more bell in my playing, as the bell on my K ride, while decent, is not really very cutting.

I hit my Super Ultra Mega Bell ride back in 1979 and it's still ringing out in the garage.
