Some specs would be appreciated. I don't mean to sound offensive and I don't mean to be in any way, but the kit looks better from behind than in front. It looks great from the front, don't get me wrong, but the driver's seat looks really nice.

Loving the snare drum logo. Taken from one Mr Carey?

I agree, I think it's the lugs that do it for me. Great layout though. And the snare and kick designs are awesome.

and to answer your question, the panels just keep the lows from being AS loud in other rooms, it by no means soundproofs them, it also makes it louder behind the set (i wear earplugs so it's not bad)

thanx for the comments on the head designs, i actually did them myself.

thanx for all the comments guys, hope this helped

peace.

That's a lot of sweet stuff! Pretty funny though, all that money, and you still have the stock head on the third tom ;-)

The only thing I would do differently with that kind of setup would be the bottom two toms to be bigger . I'd try to get my hands on an 18" floor tom. I've also never like 12-13-14 configs. It seems with your tom sizes 12-13-14-16-16 you'd have a limited tuning range, unless you do some sort of non-standard tuning (i.e. not high to low in 3rds 4ths or 5ths).

I love what Tama has done with the mid level kits. I just wish they'd stayed away from the long lugs (envokes "old" imagery to me, old as in not good, but old and used up). But that's just personal.

I might have to get a nice "big" configuration for rock gigs, say the 24" kick with 13 16 18 toms (do they make 18 for superstars?)

wondering

yep I think they makes 18" tom for superstar. ( I saw one of a swingstar, so it means they make some for superstar ).

the lugs aren't all that great looking i'll admit, but they just sound so goodit makes up for it.
the reason the heads are different are because those are two new toms.

crap, bos is comin.

yeah they do make an 18" superstar floor tom, i remember reading travis smiths's specs and he plays a superstar with an 18"
