Very rich finish! I wanted to know if you are very tall/long legged as the bass drums/pedals looks a bit far apart from one another. When I had a two BD kit long, long ago I needed to have my BD's close together so that my legs did not feel splayed apart and uncomfortable to play, and also to bring the HH closer so that it was not a long reach.

Metalhead I will post some of my music/just a solo once I muffle my bass' and get all new skins because I currently have just the Tama ones and I want to wait until they get dulled a little bit and I want my kit to get the best sound as possible.

As for the double bass' being far apart..I think they feel good to me. I guess in the picture they do look a little far apart, but if you sat on my throne and started playing you would feel that they actually weren't. There always is time for some set-up changes, but for now it feels fine to me.

Mate, are you from the UK (London), as I used to have that *exact* mat on which your kit is atop. Nice set up by the way,, I have a superstar 4 piece, so yours is literally twice as big(!)

No I'm in the U.S and that is actually a toy car rug that is like 12 years old that I used to play toy cars on when I was younger.

Yeah well the standard Tama snare skin sucks so there's my reason for the coating coming off so easily. I bought another (better) evans snare skin, but I'll wait a little longer to put it on. The Tama skin still has some life.

I see you hit your snare skin pretty high up rather than in the middle. Anyway I like your kit.

Thanks. The color is actually a little darker in person.

I actually have more pictures I just didn't want to post too many pics at once(due to some people having slow computers and it taking a while to load). But I'll post them soon.

You made a great decision with the Superstar Custom! It is such a great sounding kit! the only thing I can recommend: put better heads on, it really makes the sound better!
I like this scarlet fade...good job there!

PS.: I like your carpet ;)

peace,

Karl

Hey im from Australia and i swear I also had that exact same mat! Those things sure are wide spread!
Nice kit though, I also suggest a high-hat clamp so you can bring those hats in closer.

They sound alright and they aren't muffled at all. They actually do sound good, but I would like to muffle them I'm just too lazy right now. Eventually it will happen before our next gig.

They are Gibralter click pads. They add a little different tone to my bass' and I mainly got them at that time because I hadn't muffled my bass' yet. New pictures are coming soon. I change everything around a little bit so yeah.

Cobras are fantastic. There's just so many adjusticements on the cobras to make it feel perfect for you.

Thank for the comments guys and I'm not that tall and I did move everything closer in for me last week (mainly the two bass').

My favorite cymbal in my collection. Sounds beautiful and I think it is great for many styles. But yeah it sounds amazing and isn't all that expensive.

That is a nice kit! I have a superstar custom myself, and so far I love it. The snaredrum is just awesome, you should try a coated ambassador on it, and remo Powersonic on the kickdrums, that's a great skin for the kick.
I also like the scarlet fade. To me, it's the next best thing after Ocean fade ;)
