This is my new DW Pacific FXR kit, with my favorite, the virgin bass and all birch shells. Absolutely love this kit. I would, however, suggest getting the 900 series hardware or regular DW hardware. The 800 series seems a little light, hence the weights on the legs (protected by tape).

FXR Tobacco fade laqcuer kit with 10" add on tom.
13x3 Pearl Steele Piccolo snare
Evans EMADS on the kick, Evans EC2 top tom head and Evans Resonant clear on the bottoms.
20" Zildjian Avedis medium ride.
18" Paiste 502 Crash
16" Zildjian Z Cutsom Medium crash
16" Zildjian Avedis Fast crash
13" Sabian AA El Sabor Salsa Splash, brilliant
12" Zildjian Avedis Fast splash
12" Wuhan China trash
10" Paiste PST5 splash
13" Zildjian Avedis Mastersound Hi-hats.
Pearl PowerShifer Eleminator double bass pedal.
Pacific two leg HH stand.

Wow, virgin birch bass drum...I`m jealous because of it! The whole kit is sooo nice, a friend tried a PDP out some time ago and he really was impressed about the sound (especially about the bass drum sound)
then he decided to buy such kit...I think it`ll be the CX...I`m very curious!

The set looks stunning, what did you cough up for it ?
I'm interested in getting that myself maybe.
Nice idea on the weight, i'm gonna do that too because on rehearsals usually 1 stand tip over a couple of times when my guitarists don't watch their steps.
What heads are you thinking to get ?

I paid $1050.00, retail. It can be had online for less but I am one of those "instant gratification" people. :)

very beautiful setup you have !

a little advice, instead of putting some weights on your hardware you'd better open it low. It would be easier for moving the kit all around. Do you understand what I mean or amn't I clear?
If you don't i'll try and get pics.

Awesome finish on that kit!
Trash those B8's though. I was stuck with those for too long when I started and now I cringe when i see them.

Got you completely. I'm still tinkering with the setup. The set I have played since high school was on a Gibralter rack. I am toying with just trashing the stands all together and getting a new, or used rack.

I agree. Not terrible for the money. I was completely blown away when my new Zildjians arrived. Have you played with the AA or AAX's at all?

I just put and EMAD2 on the batter side and an EMAD on the front. EMAD = GOOOODDDDDDDD!!

YEA PDP IS THE WAY TO GO!! I have a MX emerald fade and i love my drums soo much. All of the pacific line has killer fineshes. As for those weights, hey whatever works!
The 900 series rocks man i have my 20in ZBT rock ride and 14in tom on the thing and it doesnt move. Sometimes though its the way you position your hardware that makes it not fall down. Again nice set, gotta love PDP.

Nice choice !!!!! Very nice!!!! But......I wish the FXR in 2005 had the 14 floor tom option like you have!! I still want one and I'd put the haning 14 under my hi-hat! :)
