Amazing drums with a very impressive cymbal line-up.

And I also like your kick drum reso head - has a strangely relaxing effect.

Oh another beauty there Ted. Nice work! How are you finding the G2s? I'm also rather intruiged by the mismatching heads. Are those stock heads on the right of the kit?

EDIT: Had another look. Yes they are. Nobody tell him to change them, the stocks are 'proper' G2s with the Tama logo on them.

Looks like a mughty fine kit. Like Pete said i'dd also like to know if the Longboards are worth all that money. It would be great if you could compare them to IC's =)

Axis are really smooth pedals and I'm still getting them adjusted to my liking. I still play my ICs from time to time and they feel fine, I just prefer the footboard size and options you get w/ the Axis. ICs are heck of a lot tougher though and they come w/ case, so they're the giggin pedal. And for the record I am not that fast lol. Gettin there...

I did buy them new and that's the reason my drums are the nicest things I'll probably ever own! I need to join DA instead of AA.

i prefer this to the imperials
Ah, I can see that. I prefer the Imperialstars only when I'm playing louder, heavier music. They tune so deep and really boom w/ the Pinstripes. Gotta recognize the 80's style too lol.

Thanks a lot law dawg, hehe. The Paragon is working really well for me. I'd prefer a drier cymbal for softer parts because it can get pretty loud and a little washy. The bell isn't as bright as some but after watching some videos I noticed it cuts better than I originally thought. Overall a good cymbal for rock players...

I have thought about getting the triggers, they even offer the accessory you can mount on the pedal itself. I think part of the issue w/ quieter strokes is the beaters. They seem to lose some intertia from being two seperate pieces and constructed from lighter material. I just can't seem to get the same amount of power I could w/ the Iron Cobras.

Sitting on the floor beside the stage about 2 feet out of camera view. You can see the snare in one of the pics I think.

Thanks man, I really enjoy them. I'm already on top of changing out the rest of the stock heads (clear G2's) to the coated G2's. They've served me well.

Get outta town! You should post some pics of them here because as we all know- Starclassics own all others.

Definitely the 17" Sabian HHX Evolution. Thin and very dynamic and it sounds great under the mics, overall a really great line of cymbals.

Thanks a lot you guys. I've now replaced all the G2s to coated which sounds even better! The 20" Wuhan is just a great, cheap and trashy china w/ short sustain. I use mostly Pearl hardware and the Icon rack has exceeded all my expectations. I tear it down and move it every week and it holds up to my beatings.

beautiful kit t,

i used to have the same exact drum set up except my performers were
transparent green and the toms were 10, 12, 13, 14, 16. a year before i
sold them (*sniff sniff*) i had the three rack toms cut down to "conventional"
sizes and they sounded amazing.

damn, i have to track down the guy i sold them to....

-sigh- i love this kit, and that bass drum art is surprisingly relaxing.

p.s. is it possible to get to the bottom splash on the splash stack? i have trouble hitting a 16 inch crash with a 10 inch splash ontop.. <lol>
