I miss the old Starclassics, but this kit is a blast to play!
DW 9000 airlift throne
DW 5000 hi-hat stand and double bass pedal.

I played on a kit exactly like that in guitar center. They are the best feeling fake drums, THat I've ever played.

I love those things, they really get u to practice more than to fool around on the kit. To bad they're soooo expensive. =(

3500 minus the hardware. Sounds like a lot, but after the sale of my Starclassics and Paistes, it was nearly a wash.

I really like the 5000's. I used to have Iron Cobra gear, which felt a little more solid, although I never smash the top of my foot with the DWs.

Roland drums feel crazy (in a positive way).
I played two times on the TD-12: at MP music store, about 2 hours long or so...why? because it was awesome! Cool drums...cool sounds, play-alongs!!

Great kit, and a fantastic option if you live in an apartment or someplace where acoustic drums are an issue. I especially like the "Zeppy" preset kit on that module.

I would love to own one at some point.

Ah, I have one too. It is so amazing. It is probably the one of the best recent things I bought, I use it so much, and just recording something becomes way easy. I haven't discovered half of what it can do. Just yesterday I found out I could set the tempo of the metronome by plugging in a pad into AUX1 or 2 and play steady quarter notes. Haha.

But.. 3500,-? How long ago did you buy it? I bought mine a year ago for 1200,- euros.

I have same kit I love it. I added an extra cymbal over by the floor tom....too hard to relearn patterns after playing 35 years....I'm old : ^ P
