Federico Paulovich was born in 1985 and began his musical studies at the age of 9. He took lessons through the years from some of the greatest Italian drummers such as Maxx Furian, Sergio Pescara, Stefano Bagnoli and Giorgio Di Tullio.
He attended several clinics, workshops and masterclasses given by drumming greats including Gavin Harrison, Horacio “El Negro” Hernandez, Johnny Rabb, Marco Minneman, Jojo Mayer and many more.
Collaborations:
He's been the drummer of numerous emergent bands in the Milan area. Since he was 12 he played hundreds concerts all around Italy and several recordings. One of these is the EP released in 2004 by the band Amniotic Count (winner of the national contest organized by “True Metal” review-webzine) “Not Born Yet”, very well rewiewed by trade magazines.
In the jazz scene he has collaborations with artist such as Arthur Miles (Zucchero), Larry Ray (Earth Wind & Fire), Barbara Evans, Kimberly (Gloria Gaynor, Chaka Khan), Valentino Finoli, Raffaele Rinciari.
In 2005 he was the drummer of the band that playback to the participants of the TV show “Sei un mito” broadcast for 7 appointment on national television channel “Canale5” (repeated in 2006 on national channel “Rete4”).
He worked for 2 years with the Vasco Rossi (Italian rock legend) tribute band “Vascombriccola” in which also play Vasco’s musicians Claudio Golinelli, Maurizio Solieri and Mimmo Camporeale.
Since January 2007 he's been the drummer from Destrage; the band is signed with Howling Bull (Anberlin, Sick Of It All, Hatesphere…) and the debut album “Urban Being” has been in Japanese stores since October/17/2007 selling about 4000 copies. Re-issue of Urban Being was done in March 2009 and distributed worldwide. The band's Second LP titled “The King Is Fat’n’Old” has been distributed in 25 countries since Oct 2010 and was followed by a very successfull Japanese Tour in Jan 2011. The video for the song “Jade’s Place” is currently in rotation on MTV Japan.
Since May 2007 Federico has played with Barbara, an Italian pop-rock singer produced by Luca Venturi; Her new album “Dai fuoco ai miei papaveri” is out since fall 2008 and distributed by Universal. A promo tour followed in 2009.
June 30th 2007: Federico won the international drum and percussion contest “Percfest-memorial Naco” (reviewed on drum magazines “Percussioni”, “Modern Drummer” and “Drum Club”) with the bass player Nic Angileri. “SuDuoKu”, the new duo formed by these two talented musicians, performed in November 2007 at the “Euro Bass Day” festival in Verona; on the same stage played artist like Marcus Miller, Mike Stern and Alain Caron.
SuDuoKu also appeared on national television channel “Italia1” as special guest of TV show “Talent1” playing some tunes.
During season 2008/2009 Fede is the drummer from the band, directed by Carlo Gargioni (R.I.P.), on TV show “Saturday Night Live”. In the same period Fede works with the rock band “The Fire”, touring Italy and Europe, and performing in events like “T-Mobile Street Gigs” at the Olympic Stadium in Munich.
During summer 2009 Fede had a full immersion experience spending 3 month in L.A. where he got the opportunity to play in several clubs in Hollywood, rehears at S.I.R, shed and take lessons from some of the greatest drummers in the world like: Chris Coleman, Ronald Bruner Jr., Rob Carson, Dave Elithc etc...
He also joined many Jam Sessions in famous clubs like The Baked Potato and Red White and Blues, playing with great musicians like: Byron Miller (Santana, George Duke, Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross…), Kenneth Crouch (Eric Clapton), John Ziegler (Danny Carey, Kirk Covington), Phil Soussan (Ozzy Osbourne, Richie Kotzen) and many more...
Since 2010 he’s the drummer for Vasco Real Tribute, one of the best tribute bands in Italy, playing with Vasco’s musicians Claudio Golinelli and Andrea Innesto.
In the same year Fede played part of the European Tour of Paul Di Anno (Iron Maiden) in Holland, France and Germany.
In 2011 he’s hired by Loredana Errore from Amici (Italian TV Show) for her summer tour all around Italy. In the autumn of the same year he took part of the “Paul Di Anno Iberian Tour 2011” with 10 dates almost sold out.
Festivals:
In 2011 Fede played at the 11th edition of “La lunga notte della batteria - Memorial Lucchini” playing with the JW Orchestra.
With the Drum Duo project (with the great Riccardo Lombardo) Fede performed at: “Percfest International Percussion Festival” (2008), “Groove Day” (2008, 2010) the most important drumfest in Italy with guest like Dave Weckl, Ronald Bruner Jr., Mylious Johnson, and “Joe Morello Tribute 2011”.
In 2007 he played at “Euro Bass Day” festival with Nicola Angileri and Tony De Gruttola.

Education:
After many years of teaching experience, in 2007/2008 Fede is drum teacher in the music academy “Skull Of Rock” (Modern.Music.Institute seat of Milan).
Moreover in September 2008 Fede attended the Private Drum Teacher Seminar held by Dom Famularo and powered by Vic Firth; at the end of which he received the Vic Firth teacher certificate.
In 2009 he joined the PDT program, thanks to Neil Larrivee (Education Director) and Olin Johannesen, appearing on the “Education” section of Vic’s website, and working to improve it with many other great musicians.
Since 2009 Fede teaches at the renowed “Accademia Del Suono” in Milan, helding masterclasses and individual lessons.
